Around the world, new legislations are being passed in many countries and cosmetics will be forced to apply dates of term of use and more. Quebec is one of the few places around the world to have adopted the same cosmeceutical and organic laws as that of the state of California. We indicate on all products a date stamp shelf life. Products can attain a 12 month shelf life if kept under optimum conditions. Although the shelf life can vary by product, we have indicated a freshness date of 3 months - maximum 6 months after opening.(shown by a PAO symbol, Product After Opening)on most of our products with the exception of certain foodstuff category products such as our ChocoTyme truffles. The PAO is indicated in the center with a number that represents month term(ie:3,6)

In our own experience, most formulations well surpass these usage dates. We do not have a single customer who has not used up our products within 3 month limits, some love our products so much that they use up certain products before ever reaching these limits. Any product that is being used past this in life use, is simply is not being used as indicated or required. Normal sized products usually last 30 to 45 days or up to 90 days in supply for larger formats.

All products are small batch produced, thus normal PAO can be seen as 3 months with up to 6 months if kept in strict conditions as further outlined: Products can be refrigerated (not froze) or kept in a cool dark place (such as under your sink) to extend shelf life and freshness as well.

We definitely recommend not keeping our products in the sun or warm humid areas nor to leave them open when not in use.

Washing your hands before dipping your fingers into a jar will also help stop the introduction of bacteria into the products and the best way is of course to use a clean applicator rather then fingers so as to avoid contamination altogether.

Many of our products use airless pumps or mist applicators and use specially formatted packaging design for essential extracts, such as Cobalt Blue or Amber as well as double-layer jars. Both glass and PET packaging are used depending on product.
